My longtime interest and passion is radio--especially classic oldies and acoustic radio. Those are the categories for which most of the links on this page will fall.

For radio enthusiasts in general, there are also links to sites about radio...and links to sites to some of Wendy's recommended radio stations elsewhere.

The only regular source for Bluegrass in the Twin Cities is also on Saturday --"Bluegrass Saturday Morning" on KBEM (88.5 FM) from 7 a.m-noon, ably hosted by Phil Nusbaum of the local Bluegrass band Urban Renewal. Also check out "String Theory" on KBEM Saturday afternoons hosted by Kevin Barnes.
But now that I'm in Nashville, the main station for me is 650 AM WSM - the home of the Grand Ole Opry and two of my radio heroes, Eddie Stubbs and Bill Cody.
Airchexx.com, FormatChange.com - Another source for top 40 radio airchecks. FormatChange.com, as the name implies, features airchecks of radio station format changes
Oldiesloon - a great radio site featuring, among other things, surveys from the 60's for Twin Cities radio stations WDGY, WLOL and KDWB
Reel Radio - The ultimate "ear candy store" for classic top 40 radio fans. This site just about beats all for classic radio airchecks. It even has one from my hometown area station back when I was a child in the 60's! Perhaps your local station is there as well. A true treasure! (Thanks, Lew Goodman, for pointing me in the direction of this via your website!)
TwinCities Radio Airchecks - a new site by former Twin Cities area deejay Rick (Mason) Burnett
Wendy's Other Radio Site Picks (not listed elsewhere on this page or site):
WFUV - Fordham University in NYC - now the home of some of the great legendary New York FM DJs and their shows. Listen online!
WLNG - Longtime Long Island oldies radio station

So why do I have so much about classic
New York radio on this page? I grew up in southern Connecticut and
was very lucky to have had a childhood and adolescence in which I was
able to hear these incredible stations and radio personalities. They
set the standard and influence for Top 40 radio in the 60's, and
touched the lives and hearts of millions of listeners -- their impact
continues to this day. Just check out these websites and find out for
yourself...
